If Jesus is God, does that mean God has a god?

Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.





John 20: 17





So since Jesus is ascending to His God, and He is God, does that mean God has a God....or are Christians just mistaken in their beliefs that Jesus is God?

If Jesus is God, does that mean God has a god?
No that does not mean god has a god. I am a christian and i go to church a lot.... And through the times jesus was born he was gods son and he became a god after death. So jesus is a god like jesus dad is too a god. They are like the same.

Reply:I am not a wise person or a scholar of relegion. This is how I have envisioned your question in my mind when I thought about this years ago. I don't know if it will help.


If you take a plate and pour Kool-aid on one part, ice-tea on another, and water on another part you have three liquids that are seperate and different. Now tip the plate and let the liquids run together. They are all mixed and the same. Yet they could all be different.


If you think of the three liquids are the God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit it might help explain how they can all be the same and different at the same time.


I know that it is simple and stupid sounding, but it is the only way I came to terms with this concept.
