I need to know if this is just a phase my girlfriend is going through?

ok so my girlfriend is fairly along the age of 13 im 16 and i love her very much but lately she is getting to were she dont want to kiss me and shes kinda of a touch me not like i can still get hugs fairly easy and theres days were she will sit by me and hold my hand and others she wont is this just a phase or a hormonal thing or something i cant hardly get kisses anymore when we were first together she was 12 and i could get kises and hugs and stuff like that theres days were she is more lovey than others

I need to know if this is just a phase my girlfriend is going through?
I know you may have heard this before, so please don't get upset.





There is a delopmental age difference between the two of you. Sure, it may be hormones, but there may be something going on at home. Maybe she's not comfortable with herself. Maybe she's uncomfortable with you. Maybe her parents are ragging on her about your age. I remember 13. I wasn't allowed to date guys that were older than me by 18 months. I hated it then, but understand it now.





Like I said before, there is a developmental barrier between the two of you. You've got 3 years on her with life exprirence. She may be the most mature 13 year old there is on this planet, but there will always be that barrier untill she hits about 20 - 25.





She might also be getting a bunch of bull from her friends at school. They might be calling her a (derrogatory term for one who sleeps around alot, ie. promiscous) or whatever because of your age, and that could be why she is being so distant. If the two of you also just started having sex, and she just lost her virginity to you, that would also do it. She may feel like all she is worth is a pair of pants. If that is true you need to tell her how much you truely do care about her, and its okay to feel that way. It happens to everyone.





The best thing for you to do is just tell her how you feel, and ask her why she is acting so distant. If the two of you have such a great relationship, she'll talk with you. Don't be demanding to know what is wrong, just casually ask.
