Why does touch-me-not plant closes as soon as we touch it?

Is that one of those venus fly traps (think that's what there called), well it's there natural defense mechanism, when a bug lands on the top wich looks like a flower it snaps shut and eats it.

Why does touch-me-not plant closes as soon as we touch it?
