When Jesus said touch me not to Mary was he to go back to god for approval of his sacrifice?

The Father's plan was to have the Son return to Heaven. There's nothing in the gospel narrative or the apostolic epistles that would indicate any further approval was necessary.

When Jesus said touch me not to Mary was he to go back to god for approval of his sacrifice?
I would say that he was getting ready to ascend to heaven later to talk with the father and needed to remain purified, but this would just be my opinion and not fact.
Reply:He was paying honor to whom honor was due !!!

Protocal, you know !!!
Reply:Yes.
Reply:For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now TO APPEAR IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD FOR US” (Hebrews 9:24). Jesus had to appear before God the Father with the shed blood. This is why He told Mary not to touch Him when He arose from the dead. “Jesus saith unto her, TOUCH ME NOT; FOR I AM NOT YET ASCENDED TO MY FATHER: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God” (John 20:17). If Mary had touched Jesus, the blood sacrifice would have been tainted with corruption. Jesus was heading towards heaven with the blood which needed to be applied to the mercy seat in Heaven. “Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an HIGH PRIEST, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens” (Hebrews 8:1). Jesus is our High Priest! “Seeing then that we have a great HIGH PRIEST, that is passed into the heavens, JESUS THE SON OF GOD…” (Hebrews 4:14). Jesus’ tabernacle is in Heaven, not on earth, “A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man” (Hebrews 8:2).
Reply:No he was not fully in the earthly realm but in the spiritual realm also having come from hell with the souls held over from the years preceding the resurrection.
Reply:Good question.

His sacrifice was acceptable to God at His death, as evidenced by the veil in the temple being supernaturally torn apart at that instant.

He did not have to get further approval.

Mary was glad to see him and was clinging to Him. He instructed her not to detain Him. "Detain" was offered as a more accurate translation but I don't have that info handy at the moment.
