Was it OK to touch the risen Jesus before his ascension?

Jesus didn't let people touch him before his ascension.

John 20:17

Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father.

Jesus permitted people to touch him before his ascension.

Matthew 28:9

And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

Luke 24:39

Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me.

John 20:26-27

And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side.

Can't the Bible make up it's mind?Or is it that the different authors couldn't agree on what fiction to make up?

Was it OK to touch the risen Jesus before his ascension?
No, it can't. Because the books were written decades apart and frequently were passed down by oral history and not the written word as is common today. And we all know what happens to oral stories...they grow wilder with each telling. And more inaccurate.

As for touching Jesus...careful. He's ticklish.
Reply:Poor editing, that. Whoever's responsible for continuity should be fired and burned at the stake.
Reply:I'm afraid that your tremendous insight into the holy scriptures has caused me to lose my faith.

Are you the devil?
Reply:influence of memory
Reply:absolute fiction bro. believe that!
Reply:I read in notes from a certain version of the bible that it should be rendered more like stop touching me /let go of me, she may have not wanted to let go of him for joy.

check the words in John 20:17 in the Strong's to be certain.
Reply:It doesn't say that Jesus ascended up to his Father after speaking with Mary, but anyone with common sense would assume he did. Because afterwords when he appeared to his disciples he allowed them to touch him.
Reply:don't question the bible....its the truest book out of every book ever written...

and it is not made-up and not fiction.....
