Can you tell me the correct name of the touch -me -not plant?

The one I'm looking for is an older plant. It doesn't get very big. I haven't seen them in almost 10 years, but from what I remember, they come in all colors. They grow 1 maybe 2 blooms to a stem. The most unique thing about them is the way the seeds come off. They grow out to the side in little green bulb looking things and when you touch them, they pop in your hands. My dad used to love these plants. He got them from an old woman who practically raised him. She had probrebly had them her whole life. I can't find them anywhere. When I try to research them, it finds me the tickle-me-not plant. That's not it. Or it gives me plants that get up to 4 ft. high. Again, that's not it. The biggest I remember these getting is maybe 2 inches high. Please if you have any idea what this plant is called, let me know. Thank you very much.
